Month 8 and a Family of 4

Well here we are!
These months keep getting shorter.
Ethan already cries at the thought of our sweet baby growing up and going on dates (I am so lucky to have such a sensitive guy, who is man enough to cry!)
We're in BIG trouble.

Our family grew by one this month!
Burton "Gus" Guster (also known as MC clap yo handz...) joined us last week.
We are still undecided on whether he was a great choice...babies and puppies don't mix. 
He thinks she is a puppy, she thinks he is a jerk...
they torture each other and that sucks for us as parents.


Ethan has totally taken on puppy duties, since Emery doesn't really allow him to help out with her. 
I'm grateful because poor Gus may not have survived his first week here had I been in charge. 
I'm too sleep deprived to handle puppy accidents and chewed up underwear.


Emery Eden - 8 months old:

We officially have GREEN eyes!  They match her dad's perfectly, and it is ridiculous. 

She wants to walk EVERYWHERE.  She still can't balance on her own, but she just pulls us everywhere she wants to go.  Sometimes she just paces back and forth.

She is SO ticklish.  We give her a massage with lavender every night before bed and she can hardly handle it anymore, she just giggles and giggles.

Her favorite food is pancakes with homemade maple syrup.  Next in line is apples, pears, oranges...ok all fruit.  She truly doesn't swallow a thing, but she loves munching on pancakes and sucking on fruit.  I will accept that as progress :)

She loves to read.  Her favorite is the hymn book...sorry Spring Hill church building, she has DEFINITELY drooled in at least one hymn book.
