Sheesh, I've been taking my time getting this thing updated haven't I? I hope you're prepared for a million pictures. Lets just jump right in with pictures from her birthday party...only 3 months ago :)
I am officially as girly as they come.
Before Emery, pink was practically a four letter word...wait...I mean the naughty kind.
But you'll quickly see that things have changed.
Our theme for her party was pink and gold glitter.
And I LOVED it!
Uncle Jon and Aunt Mallory made this GORGEOUS baby rocking chair for her. |
Showing off her new toys to her friends. |
I'm usually behind the camera so I treasure every picture we have of the two of us together. |
This is how much she loved the candle. |
We could NOT get her to dig into her cake. So this is what we have. A teensy taste. Not a smash. |
I have always been about only getting her educational toys yadda yadda blah blah blah...
but her grandma Elkins AND her mims both wanted to get her dolls for her birthday.
So we ended up with 3 new baby dolls in one day.
And it opened a new part of my heart....
This was her natural reaction to the babies.
She has never played with a baby before but something in her just knew exactly what to do.
She held her close and rocked her and patted her little back.
Nobody showed her how.
She just knew.
Oh my heart.

Today, our Emery Eden has 6 teeth
(3 on top 3 on bottom...yeah, its a little goofy. But totally cute.)
She signs "all done" and "more" because we couldn't handle "AAAAAHHHH" anymore.
We're working on "help" and "please"
Her favorite word to say is "yeah."
She holds the phone to her ear and says "yeah. yeah, yeah. yeah." while nodding her head.
{Its ok if you think my baby is cuter than yours, cause it's really true.}
She can also say bubbles, ball, please ("blizsh"), mama, daddy, buh-bye, cookie, crackers, puppy.
She is NOT afraid of strangers or adventures.
She knows how to make the kissing noise...but she does it by sucking on her tongue.
She still thinks she's giving kisses though :)
And she blows kisses to say goodbye.
She waves and says goodbye when she is ready for you to leave her alone.
She is FINALLY growing!
Her 15 month appointment isn't until the end of the month, so I don't have exact numbers...
but what I know for sure is that she can no longer walk straight under the table without ducking.
Unfortunately she can't seem to remember that.
