eleven months

My perspective.

We can finally truthfully say that we absolutely love everything about being parents!  It took us a little longer than we'd like to admit, but we are starting to figure this gig out :)
We still look forward to bed time most days...but we miss her while she sleeps.  We peek in and watch her as she dreams, and marvel at this tiny angel that we were blessed to take part in creating.
Every day is an adventure these days!  Emery is fully mobile and desperately curious.  Just when we think that the house is officially baby-proof...she finds another exciting mess to make.

<3 Miss Emery spends every day walking circles around the house.  Her forehead is perpetually purple...it is like a magnet to edges and corners.
<3 She loves the taste of dog food...and fights me to keep it in her mouth when I find her enjoying a snack.
<3 She is a dancing fool.  If there is anything that even resembles a musical thought, she is on it!
<3 Favorite toys: B.Toys drum set & wooden farm puzzles.
<3 Favorite food: Cheese (second to dog food, of course).
<3 Favorite game: Throwing all of the bottles of lotion and shampoo into Gus's crate, one by one.
<3 She still loves the outside - warm or cold, she doesn't care.  She will do anything to get out there and RUNS to the door each time daddy leaves.
<3 She officially knows the meaning of the words: soft, kiss, loves, Gus's, come here, toys, and bath.

Look at those teeth!  We have 4 teeth now
We're starting her early....
Her toy basket.

We are doing really well - we are still just so blessed.  Last year was incredible, even with all of our many struggles.  Had we not been in that position, we would never have been able to see our blessings so clearly.  We were truly blessed throughout the entire year, by so so many people - many of whom, we will never be able to express our gratitude to.  We have felt so loved from the moment that we moved into Spring Hill and are still filled with so much gratitude.

Our situation has improved immensely.  Ethan has started working with a dear friend from church to start a home inspection business - they are only a couple of weeks away from being launched, and we are so excited!  I am still teaching voice lessons, getting more students each week.  Ethan also started school last week.  He is getting his associates in business administration and then plans to get is bachelors degree in marketing or entrepreneurship in a few years.  We can't complain a bit (except about this bitter cold....).  We are really looking forward to seeing the things that this year has in store for us!
