The ward mission for the Thompsons Station 1st and 2nd wards teamed up to put together a creche and fireside to bring the true spirit of Christmas to the community. It ended up being a HUGE undertaking, but a great success and we can't wait to do it for years to come!
I didn't get any pictures from the fireside...I was too busy running around like a chicken with my head cut off. But it was the perfect way to wrap the week up and we have had some incredible feedback about it. We know that it is just going to grow and grow.
I had originally intended on distributing these pictures via email...but there are just way too many. Feel free to save and use any of these pictures for yourself.
Enjoy....
She had the brilliant idea of using BEANS to place this set on. Beautiful isn't it?? |
I couldn't really capture it in a picture, but I think the room turned out perfect. The primary kids made the snowflakes. |
This set was hand carved from an olive tree. |
Several of the sets in this collection were hand made! |
I made 4 of these stars using the pattern here. |
I searched everywhere to find the link to the sweet blogger who made this and couldn't find it. If you know please tell me so I can include it here :) |
This one was hand carved by my MOM!! |
This guy holding the lamb is my absolute favorite. |
We did a little corner with books about the birth of the Savior. |
This beautiful quilted nativity was handmade by Elaine Tew. |
And then we did a little area for the kids...its not fun being told "don't touch that" for a half hour! A few people from the ward let us put their Little People nativites on display for the kids to play with - and I printed off some nativity pictures for the kids to color. We turned on Mr. Kruger's Christmas in the background and set them free.
A couple of your photos have been pinned onto a board specializing in nativity shows. pinterest.com/lizs4m/nativity-shows
