Living in Paradise - our first month in Tennessee

Maybe it hasn't quite felt like paradise just yet, but we're still hopeful!

Life has put us through some really interesting trials since we got here, and we have grown and learned a lot already.

Our car got us from Utah to Tennessee without any problems...
and stopped working a few days later.
Now it runs occasionally...as long as it doesn't rain   ?

Ethan is still looking for a job.  He has been offered three positions, but turned them down as guided by the spirit.
We are extremely grateful for the blessing that my job from home has been to us during this time!
We are searching tirelessly for a job that will support this family and provide him with enough time to spend with our baby girl.
We're hoping that with the passing of the holidays, people will begin hiring again.

Little Emery Eden is expected to arrive in 47 days!
Somehow it still feels like she won't ever get here.
I'm as big as a house and only getting bigger.
We had our first appointment with my new doctor last week - which made made even more grateful for the doctors that I had at Valley in Utah.
She was just plain awful.
Ethan wasn't allowed to come back with me - I was just alone and naked with a stranger while he sat in the lobby.
I didn't share what happened next on facebook because I was too ashamed.
She asked me how much weight I had gained and I told her that, because I had suffered from eating disorders in the past, I never look at my weight - but if I had to guess I'd say maybe 30 pounds.
This was a COMPLETE guess.  Based on the internet telling me that by this point in my pregnancy I should have gained between 28 and 33 pounds.
Rather than checking to see how accurate that guess was, she lectured me about weight gain during pregnancy and put me on the ATKINS DIET.
She said I absolutely must stop "eating for two" and scolded me when I attempted to tell her that I actually hardly have had any appetite at all throughout any part of the pregnancy.
As if I needed somebody else to tell me that I'm too fat at 33 weeks pregnant.
Needless to say, I will be finding a new doctor.

My baby sister got married on Saturday.
I spent every spare second that I could during the weeks leading up to it, helping her to plan her last minute wedding.
I made the decorations for the reception, her veil, the cake, the bouquet...
everything turned out beautifully and I'm so proud!

Exchanging of rings.

First kiss as husband and wife.

We are praying that during this next month we will find a job, manage to get the car fixed on our exceptionally low income, get a home of our own (not that staying with the parents isn't absolutely thrilling), find a new baby doctor, and keep growing this healthy little girl.
